Smartphone Adapter opening range is 2.16 inches min to 3.34 inches max  and it can handle a phone as thick as .38 inch.
Tablet Adapter opening range is 4.7 inches min to 9.3 inches max and it can handle a tablet as thick as 3/4 inch.

We recommend at least an 8.5-inch USB cable for tablet mounting. You will need to source that on your own.
